Going Back to the Classics May 19, 2010 I remember playing this game whenever I was in middle school, and my friend brought it over. We played for about two hours, and couldn't even get past the first level. Eight years later, I still find this game to have a bit of a challenging edge to it, and I love playing video games.
Jedi Power Battles is a perfect combination of the Star Wars universe (basically, the retelling of Episode 1), a beat-em-up side scroller, and platforming. This game can be played with one or two people, was a big thing for me. The hardest thing about this game can be the platforming. If you're not sure about how far to jump, you can easily miss it, tossing away a couple of lives when you're given 5 per level. The combat in the game is fairly simple to pick up. Using a lock-on feature, your character will have no difficulty chopping down battle droids.
In the end, this game is quite a bit of a challenge; part of it is level design, and part of it is just how the game is. I would recommend this game to anyone looking to challenge themselves in an older game.
Interesting, Fun & Challenging game Mar 25, 2009 There is a lot of jumping and, unfortunately, falling to your death. Be prepared for some frustration and to reply levels many times. However, once you've mastered the jumps and pitfalls it has tremendous replay value. There are 8 playable characters in all.
You will need a memory card in order to save your progress! Also, be prepared to have cheat notes at your side when confronted with the maze on level 10!
This is an old PS1 game, but still one of my favorites. There is a really in dept game guide on neoseeker.com:

If you're going to play this game, you 'must' download this guide. It's well written and covers even a game glitch on level 7.
