 Pure Enjoyment! Feb 05, 2010
Being an older gamer who grew up during the invasion of the British bands including the Beatles...it's pure enjoyment to fire up the PS3 and start the "Magical Mystery Tour." Sure to please Beatles fans of all ages!
But don't just take my word for it...ask others who own it...or ask those who stand in long lines for the chance to play the demo...

I bought this game for my son, age 19. He loved it; played each level, and was enthralled with it. Frankly, I did not want to listen again to Beatles' music, but my son loved it; he may have even rated this 5 stars.

I love the Beatles. Having said that, I love this game. The main thing that bothered me about this game is that I finished it in a day. Im not an avid gamer (at all) and this game was too short. Each chapter had about four or five songs and there was 6 or 7 chapters. Not enough songs being the Beatles (who have had over 100 songs ever). Of course there are more tracks online, but if I wanted to purchase the songs I want, I would end up paying for the game all over again. Besides the low amount of songs, the game is Beautiful. They really spent the time on the visuals and it paid off. I sometimes feel like just watching the background instead of playing. This game does a great job in showing the visual artwork of the Beatles but it does not have enough tracks to give the Beatles overall musical career justice.

Most of my friends seem thrilled with Beatles Rockband, so I can't really say anything too negative about it. I enjoy playing it. I just feel that Rockband 2 is more responsive. That is, I feel like I am being heard more when I play RB2. When you whammy a song in RB2 you can hear the effect. You don't hear this in Beatles. It's as if Yoko wanted to make sure that the only thing you hear is the master recording. That's fine. It's not like we're really making music here. But, I like the overall player experience in the regular Rockband titles better.

Purchased this for my teenage son's birthday. We're both big Beatles fans, so we were looking forward to "performing" our favorite songs. The game did not disappoint. The game is fun and challenging and the graphics are excellent. Highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys the music of the "Fab Four"
