works just fine! Dec 27, 2007

Psyclone wireless controllers worked awesome, great for small hands, 5yrs and 9yrs old!. I was reluctant to buy as only one review, and it was one star, I usually listen to everyone's reviews, but saw that another wireless controller got mixed reviews, one's or 5's so I thought, hey maybe the last guy was an idiot or just a glitch.
Mine worked just fine, in fact I paired it with a MAD CATZ 4-way for the slim PS2 and played Spongebob Lights camera pants! with the FAM and the controllers responded perfectly even though we have one other 2.4GHz wireless controller.
Rememeber, this works on the slim PS2, the white one that comes with singtar. there maybe compatibility issues with the old bigger PS2, I'm not sure.
So I would say, give this one a try. We got ours at Target for $25 on clearance, but I buy amazon when I can, I had to check amazon reviews.
A Bit Tiney Feb 08, 2010
By Vikki V. Green I liked these controllers with the exception of the size. My Brother took them away from me when his got broken by his 2 boys. I haven't had much chance to really get to use them but I did like them.
Great Value for the money with only one small drawback Jul 20, 2009
By shaxper Chalk me up as one of the satisfied users of this product. I've had these for five months now and am quite pleased. Installation was a no-brainer and took seconds, reception is perfect no matter where you are in my large living room, and the controls are solid. I've heard that there are long term issues with buttons sticking, but I see no sign of this yet. If these controllers last even one year (and the player 2 controller will inevitably outlast the player 1 controller), then they were worth the money, as far as I'm concerned.
Another criticism of these controllers is that they are too small. Well I have very large hands, and I have not had a problem using these. Of course, I don't have much experience using the larger regular-sized controllers (I bought these right away when I got my PS2), so maybe it's harder when you're switching from the standard size.
My only real criticism of these controllers is that they shut off automatically after only a minute or so of inactivity. If there's a long movie clip, for example, and you're not pressing anything on the controller, it just shuts itself off to save battery power. This might seem like a good idea, but you then have to switch the controller off, wait 20 to 30 seconds, and then switch it back on to get it to work again. This is very annoying. Whenever I play Kingdom Hearts, I have to keep pressing buttons every time it goes to a movie clip (which is often!). You'll have to get into the habit of switching the controller off before going to the bathroom or going to the kitchen for a snack. Be forewarned about this.
Oh, and any wireless electronic device is going to drain batteries like there's no tomorrow, so I strongly recommend investing in some rechargeable triple A batteries. I use an inexpensive Energizer recharger that has them recharged in 15 minutes flat. If you're playing a single player game, this means you can just use the other remote for a level or two as the recharger does it's job.
Can't hold connection. Jul 04, 2009

I bought these controllers brand new because of the great feedback by users and the prospect that my kids couldn't pull the PS2 off the table by yanking the cord. Though I tried two sets of new batteries and followed all the directions in the package, the controllers would never hold a connection more than a few seconds. The wireless connection would drop off constantly and you would be always be trying to reconnect them. I'm done with wireless controllers.
