 Not the reverse compatible PS3 Mar 17, 2009
This is not a full reverse compatible PS3. This one has the potential to only play Playstation 1 games. Does not support PS2 games at all. The only bundle that appears to still be available at all is the Metal Gear Solid 4 80 GB bundle (even if it is expensive).

This bundle has everything a virtual warrior needs AND, for some reason, a movie remote control. But even wariors need to relax and watch movies during a lull or while some armistice is in effect. Needless to say, the PS3 allows for a great gaming experience and its Blu-ray capabilities would put the remote control unit to great use. Having been the owner of an AMAZON-purchased PS3 for more than a year now, I can testify that it doesn't get much better than this as far as game-playing, movie watching and Web-surfing on your TV are concerned.
However, this specific bundle seems to be just a tiny little bit overpriced and thus kind of runs against the traditional expectation of giving the buyers the opportunity to save a little when purchasing the bundle.

The review guidelines do not allow for price comparisons but, before deciding if you are better off with the War Games Bundle then with purchasing the above items individually, make sure that you do a little math.
I also have an issue with the included remote controller. It is not a Blue-tooth device and it will take take over one of the 2 available USB ports for the dongle. Spend a little more and you will be getting a true Blu-tooth remote: Sony PlayStation 3 Blu-ray Disc Remote.
I am granting only 2 stars because, in my view, the current price (as of Dec. 1) does not justify this purchase.
