Looks great on the 3000 also Jan 03, 2009

This is a great armor for the price. It's very simple, comes pre-assembled, and all ports and doohickeys on the PSP machine can be accessed very easily with the armor on - including the UMD door, via a second, clear armor-door that I find isn't difficult to manage. The armor is sturdy plastic, and you simply have to nest the machine in the armor and close a simple but firm latch.
The armor looks sleek and dead-on on the PSP 3000 model also. There's only the slight issue that the built-in microphone on the 3000 'Slim & Brite' model is covered by the armor plastic, and you have to open the armor to uncover the microphone 'hole'.
Among the items included with the armor are 3 UMD cases, which are simply dandy for protecting your games while you carry them in your pocket or whatnot, covering up the one side of the UMD disc that is vulnerable to possible disc damage with more of the plastic armor.
Also packaged within is some sort of foam death device for your screen. This thing looks like a wrist strap, but it isn't, and the business end is a rubbery/foamy little oval about the size of the end of your thumb. If you ignore that this thing comes in the box, you'll avoid catching a particle of something on it and dragging an abrasive scratch across your screen. You're supposed to use it to clean your screen, but I can't imagine why anyone would risk it when there are professional grade wipes available. I'd rather trust a cotton T-shirt on my screen than drag this thing down it.
My particular armor came a little dinged in the mail. Sadness.. and right across the screen too. It's barely noticeable, and this still protects my machine, so I'm fine with it, but the packaging is tight and it is a risk that you'll unwrap a scuffed product.
Similarly, the armor isn't immune to damage in your pocket. I find that I need a soft pouch to protect the armor if I'm going to stuff it in my pocket. You can buy PSP pouches pretty much anywhere - I just use a nice headphone pouch made of soft, non-scratchy material.
Overall, this is a secure purchase. The armor does what it's supposed to. It's plastic armor of the variety that covers your screen and UMD door while leaving you access to all the bells and whistles on your machine. It bears a sturdy latch, and with some common sense, it does it's job great. The UMD cases are a great bonus.. I can't recommend the packaged 'screen cleaning pad'.
5 stars for the armor and three UMD cases, minus one for the enclosed 'death pad' and the tight cardboard packaging giving you the risk of a scuffed product. 4 stars.

smudged Mar 04, 2009
By Sithru22 It fits perfectly on my PSP 2000 Slim. I only have one problem with it. It came out of the box already smudged and scratched.
limits fingerprints Feb 24, 2009
By Amazon for life This works to keep your PSP fingerprint free (or at least it limits it alot). Price is reasonable. This is not something that I would consider to be a heavy duty protecion accessory for the PSP.
Very Good Case Feb 14, 2009

This case is very good. My PSP 3000 fits perfectly. The case provides good screen protection. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I dont think the case provides good protection if the PSP falls. But overall it's decent and it provides good protection.
