Not usefull for many games Feb 05, 2009
By NC PS3 Gamer I made a mistake in assuming that this wheel would basically replace the standard PS3 controller L stick functionality. In order to utilize the "6 dimension, multi axis motion sensing" advertised for this racing controller, the game you are playing must support the PS3 six-axis technology. This is not mentioned anywhere on the product packaging nor instructions. Of the racing games I tried (Gran Turismo 5, Grid, Dirt, Motorstorm) only Motorstorm supports six-axis. For the other racing games you are stuck using the D-pad at the left top of the wheel to steer the vehicle! So, basically this is a standard PS3 controller without the analog sticks! Very disappointing!

DO NOT BUY! Nov 17, 2010
By Booker T. Mcdowell I was informed by INTEC that due to the lastest firmware from Sony, this wheel is no longer functional or supported. Enough said.

Hey, this ain't bad! Dec 31, 2008
By Billy B. Wow, this thing really works! I enjoy Motor Storm, but I don't like racing with the conventional game pad. I also like sprawling in my Lazy Boy recliner when playing PS3 games. That means no mounted racing wheels. Not only is it a great wheel, but when racing motorcycles, you can hold it flat and tilt left and right, just like you would in the real thing. I must admit, since there weren't any reviews on this thing, buying it was a shot in the dark. Not to worry. It does what it says it'll do, and at a very reasonable price. Well done!

Dissapointed Mar 14, 2010
By Danny L. Newcomer I al;so assumed this was a fully functional PS3 gamepad device. At best it is half a controller that only works with 1 game I own and that is Burnout. With no joysticks this device is not very useful to me. On the good side it does work extremely well with Burnout. Device is solidly built.

garbage Apr 19, 2009
By V. Sanford This "steering wheel" would indeed only steer with the directional pad with GT5 Prologue as already stated; but at least it was playable. I then booted up Burnout Paradise, which is supposed to be sixaxis compatible, and it rumbled, but wouldn't steer at all, even with the directional pad, making this controller unusable for one of my driving games, and no different than my stock Sony controller for the other one. So what, now I have to go and get MotorStorm, just to have a reason to keep this stupid thing, or even see if it will work to steer anything? Does it work as intended with anything else besides MotorStorm?
