Not bad if you just need an extra controller and can't afford the six-axis... Sep 11, 2009
By David Holbrook Pros * very cost efficient - Significantly less expensive than a new six-axis * works just like a normal controller * same size and shape of a six-axis
Cons * short cord - only has a 6 ft. cord (tripping hazard for those walking through a room) * no PS button - you can't access the home menu from this controller, since it does not have the Playstation button in the center, so this is a strictly 2nd player comtroller * no symbols on buttons - the buttons are 100% blank, so you have to just automatically know which button is what (not a big problem for me, but it was for my brother who had not played playstation games in a year or so)
This is a great controller for someone who has just bought a new PS3 and does not have enough money to put down for a second six-axis wireless controller. However, after about a month of playing co-op locally with somebody, you're going to want to upgrade to a six-axis (just because a new six-axis has all the wonderful bells and whistles that this controller lacks). But this is great for a person just starting out...
In all, this is a pretty decent product for the price. It does everything that it's supposed to do, but it does have its limitations, which is why I give it a 4 out of 5.

WILL NOT WORK WITH NEW SLIM PS3 Mar 12, 2011
By Brenda T. Gadbois-westphal Works fine with the older ps3 systems, but does not work in newer slim ps3s. Tried two of them on 2 different slim models.

PS3 Wired Controller Nov 04, 2010
By Freddie The GOOD: This is a Wired Controller. This Analog Controller is exclusively used with PS3 System(s), this controller features a convenient USB plug. Excellent product for its value and purpose. Doesn't need to be charged before play.
The BAD: This wired controller doesn't have a PS3 home button and unable to start game with some of the PSN downloaded games.
Still an excellent product for its value and purpose, which for me is to have backup controller(s)

Not very good. Jan 09, 2009
By Jeffrey Dain Strickland The controller is a cheap controller but you get what you pay for because you think by the picture its an original factory playstation controller but its like a dragon 3 controller or something (or at least thats whats on the front of it. If you just need a spare controller that you would use once a month, you might get by with this. But for even two player games you need a more expensive factory controller.

Good controller, still not better than the orginal PS3 controller. Feb 14, 2011
By AsianSpecialist This controller is very good, but there are a few problems I've encountered. 1. The sticks aren't as smooth as the PS3 controller 2. No vibration option 3. Can't have the option to switch player controller numbers 4. The R2 and L2 don't feel as comfortable 5. No titling axis Other than that, it's good. If you just want to buy a controller for another player so he/she can play games with you, then this is the one for you.
