I bought this battery to replace my PS3 Dualshock3 SIXAXIS Controller. It worked fine for about 20 days & died. I would suggest everyone to stay away from this product.

I ordered 2 of these replacement batteries for $2.95 each + $5.47 which came to $11.47 total. I had one ps3 controller that would not hold a charge and another controller I have owned for about the same amount of time. I would be surprised if the other controller I have doesn't stop soon. New ps3 controllers still cost about $50 each. So for less than 12 bucks I should be good for a while. Much better than spending at least $100 to buy new ones.
When it comes to installing these batteries, look up a how to video on youtube. Do this before you even try to open your controller up. There are several to choose from and some are more detailed than others. You could break your controller if you are not careful. The problem I had was the R1 and R2 buttons came apart when I opened the controller case. That was very hard to get back together. A few little pieces need to go back just right or your controller will be dead for good.
Make sure you have a mini screwdriver and a flashlight. When the R1 R2 buttons came apart I needed a head lamp and about 20 minutes to get it back together. If you are careful you might not have those buttons fall apart.

My ps3 controller is working again. It's been seven months since I've changed the battery. My controller takes less time to charge and stays charged for a longer time.

My original PS3 controller wouldn't hold a charge most likely due to my using an aftermarket charging stand for storage rather than just charging. (Lesson learned: I only charge when needed now.) After purchasing the replacement battery, I received it in fairly short order and installed it without difficulty. No modifications or alterations were required to the controller case. Before using it for the first time, I let it charge for a full day and my controller has worked perfectly since.

this has a really long life on it on the ps3 controller this was a major upgrade from the stock battery in the controller i had two controllers that i bought when i bought my ps3 about 4 years ago, and both controllers died a day a part so i look into changing the battery vs buying new controllers! googled it and then looked at vids on youtube also i look easy and it was to take out and change the battery! with this battery you can get about 50+ hours of game play on it i have already put in fifteen hours and only one bar has gone down and i bought this about three weeks a go!
