Can't go wrong with an original. Nov 10, 2001
By Jason Colucci There are tons of after market controlers and memory cards for the Sony PlayStation. I am a hard core, die hard believer that when buying memory cards or controlers for your PlayStation that sticking with the original equipment is always the best idea! You just can't go wrong with it. Great product and really cool colors now too!

Twenty Bucks, eh? Jun 25, 2002
By Jacob King I own many a Playstation memory card. They're ok, I guess, but they're a little on the slow side for saving and loading. Also, they are incompatible with Playstation 2 games. Even if you could save a PS2 title on one of these things, it would probably take up the whole card, and then some. Also, these things should cost a lot less by now. They should be more like 12 bucks, not 20. But on the plus side, these cards are highly reliable. I've never lost data on one of these things, even on the oldest cards I own (which I've had since '97). The generic brands are slightly cheaper, but they have bombed out on me from time to time. Overall it's a good (and necessary) buy for all PSX owners.

Solid Snake Nov 22, 2005

I got this memory card to play my Metal Gear Solid game on PS2. It works perfectly and I am very happy. If I hadn't bought it I would never have gotten to play the game. I was somewhat disappointed with the smaller amount of memory was on it but as long as I only use one slot I can keep all 14 of the blocks that remain for other PSOne games that I might get. I highly recommend it if you have some PSone games that you want to play on PS2!

BUYER BEWARE: order from Kandels Korner turned out to be a fake Jun 11, 2008
By rojO I ordered the "PS One Island Blue Memory Card [PlayStation]" NEW CONDITION from the lowest price store KANDELS KORNER. What I received instead was not a blue memory card but a Grey ps1 memory card, in a plastic case which was inside a flimsy cardboard sony box cover with oriental symbols on the outside of the box. I think this memory card is the classic grey memory card that shipped with the first psxs. Basically I did not get what I ordered and the product wasn't even in the condition they labeled it as. The memory card could have easily been used since the outer box was not sealed. Although its the wrong product, the memory card did work when I tested it out, and it saves and loads games fine so far.
