Cheap and functional May 21, 2010 Bought this version instead of the official Sony adapter because I was only going to use it once. Does what it says on the box, basically. Was able to transfer my PS2 saves from a Sony PS2 memory card, and was able to transfer my PS1 saves from a Sony PS1 memory card. The PS3 saves each memory card as a new 'card' on the PS3 hard drive, and you have to pick 2 to be the 'slots' that your PS2 and PS1 games will search saves for.
Works great! Apr 09, 2010 Not too much to say about it other than plug it in & it works just like the PS2. Great product at a excellent price! I've had it for a few weeks & no problems. I searched around for the best price & it was definitely here; everywhere else was almost $50! I got it for $10 on Amazon!

Good Seller Apr 06, 2010 The item I purchased was reasonably priced and arrived in good condition, although it was supposed to be new but did not have any packaging. I ordered this item with several other items from different sellers. This one took several days longer to ship out than all the other items I ordered, coming on the last day or second to last day of the expected delivery window. I've ordered from this seller twice now and both times were satisfactory with no major complaints. I am more than willing to puchase from this seller again in the future.

Great product that works perfectly Mar 27, 2010 Works exactly like it was supposed to. Transfered all my saves over from my 8MB Sony Memory Card. It did NOT work with my 16MB Max Memory Card, not will it work with any other 3rd Party memory cards, as it is stated in the manual. This problem is alleviated by simply transferring the data from the 16MB one to the 8MB one (via the PS2 browser) and then onto the PS3. Also, I was able to transfer a save back to my memory card. I have only do in twice, I downloaded a save and got a save for Final Fantasy X emailed to me. Unlike the review titled "read the fine print" you CAN go transfer PS2 saves from you PS3 to your PS2 8MB Memory card. What he doesn't understand is, via an update this was enabled. Also, what they posted on the Sony website is not true. It is just a way for you to buy their $30 memory card adapter by making you worry about data corruption. Also, to the person who said it was fragile. Yeah, the connection from the back of the adapter to the end of the cable is barely wobbly, but the construction is sturdy. It has the same construction of the Official Sony one. Unless you rip out the card or bash it, it won't break. The only qualms I have about it is the cable is on the short side (as long as it can reach a solid surface and is not hanging you should ave no problem) and the memory card needs a little tug to get it out. You have to hold onto the sides and jiggle it side to side once while pulling (lightly) to get it out.

Read fine print Mar 19, 2010 simple & plain: i have a 60GB b/c PS3 and my friend just bought his, so he's selling me his old ps2 (the ps2 games on a hdtv look a bit blurred so i'd rather have it at my desk to play on a regular tv, but according to the little note that came with this product states that it works one way: TO the ps3, not in reverse. so my intentions of transferring data off my PS3 internal memory card to the PS2 memory card have become nulled.
a product review i read of the official Sony one states that it's the only one that can transfer back and forth, and trying to do so with a 3rd party item (such as this one) may cause data corruption.
thankfully i don't have several years worth of data saved onto my ps3 or i'd be pretty upset that this item did not explicitly state that it only works one way.
