Family fun Feb 22, 2010
This game is a lot of fun. Only gave it 4 stars because I wish you were able to unlock more than 2 songs on the entire game but other than that it is a lot of fun.

The songs were decent, not to old fashioned. The character creation was alright, though some over sexual based. Decent levels. Nice sound setup. Stages were fun. Played a ton with family and friends.

Love the game. The only draw back is the song selection. For my 13 years old daughter the songs we ancient history. We played it at her party and had a great time. Love hearing the judges.

This item doesn't have a lot of songs to choose from. The judges say some really funny things. They offer a lot of options for making avatars.

Amazon has the best price for this bundle pack!! The microphone works great, yes there is a little buzzing coming from the TV when the volume is up really loud, but it's hardly noticeable.
This is my first Karaoke Revolution game and I'm glad I got the American Idol version! The judges' remarks crack me up! I have NEVER followed the American Idol TV show but I still understood the game. It is A LOT of fun the more people you have.
My only complaint though is that I don't really recognize half the songs so I usually end up singing to the familiar ones over and over, which gets old. I just need to sit down and learn the others, but I thought we could unlock more??? I've won the game 3 times already and have only unlocked clothing and video clips --- no songs. Does anyone know if we can unlock more songs?
Either way, it's so much fun when you have your friends over. I wish you could have 8 players singing at ONCE but unfortunately you can't :) You can only have 2 people singing together. Otherwise, you pass the microphone to the next person. I don't like to sing by myself so I prefer the duet mode!
I am buying the American Idol Presents game that came out just before the Encore one (that does not have Paula Abdul) so I can have more songs. BEWARE the VERY FIRST American Idol Karaoke Revolution game is very misleading!!! The very 1st game only lets you push buttons which means NO SINGING--which is a total waste of time in my opinion. If you want fun singing games, buy THIS one (the Encore version) and the one that came out just before this. My next goal is to start collecting the original Karaoke Revolution games. I just love the American Idol version of the Karaoke Revolution games because you get to hear the judges remarks which is always funny when you're with a group of people! :) I definitely recommend buying this through Amazon- you can't beat the price and you get free shipping!
