Great pads, ok game. Aug 31, 2007
By J. Limbacher These soft pads are some of the best you can get, and for the price they are the best on the market. The game is ok if you are good at ddr, but if you are new to it you should get supernova as well since it is MUCH easier. I can do just about every song on the hardest mode on supernova and get an A, but when it comes to In the Groove I am lucky if I can get a B on the hardest mode. If you are getting this bundle for the pads you will be satisfied.

love the mats, not the songs Jul 24, 2008
By Z. Yu The mats are of pretty high quality and well worth the price. the songs i dont enjoy very much which is why i'll be buying a ddr game as opposed to in the groove. this is just personal preference though

In the Groove Bundle Review Feb 07, 2008
By Ryan Okamoto I will go so far as to say this is better than any comperable ddr or ddr product I have ever played or played on. The pads (for being this foam) are probobly the best you can get, especialy for the price. The game has 70+ songs which is more than any DDR game i have ever played for ps2 and there are 5 difficulties on most songs so no shortige of content. If you are a more hardcor gamer then you will love the battle mode and that there are more than enough arrow modifiers to keep you entertained. This game was probobly the most satisfying buy on amazon yet.
Newbie at ITG/DDR ... this bundle May 17, 2008
By deranged but cute I've just started playing DDR about a week and a half ago and just got the ITG bundle. I mainly got it for the pads, tbh. The konami that I got with SN2 is already showing signs of not wanting to work consistently. I play for about an hour to an hour and a half (it's hard to stop once you start!). I'm also using this for exercise and I'm older (53) with arthritis.
Now, I'd read some reviews on the pads saying they are good, but a little wacky. Wacky how? Standing square in the middle, not moving, can "trigger" a sensor and then you've got the menu or songlist moving a mile a minute. I thought, nah, they're standing in the wrong spot. But it's true, this pad does do that. So it's gonna take some practice to find the "sweet spots" for the sensors and where to stand when you're just starting to play.
Another thing to do (which I didn't in my excitement) ... unwrap the pads and lay them gently over a chair for a couple of days to get the folds/wrinkles out. I think that would've helped me today.
The pads are made so much better than the default DDR game bundle flat pads. They don't skate across the floor the way the konami ones do, they feel a little better underfoot and the top's a tiny bit 'sticky', which is a good thing. The ITG pad did not move while I played, but it did bunch up in the lower left corner - not good. I may have to do some sort of soft pad mod (the wood/plastic principle which won't work for me - arthritis and roomie right under me), but using some dense foam and some sort of plastic/non slip something on the bottom and attaching it to the pad.
Great deal Apr 19, 2008
By J.E. For someone who is looking to try our DDR type games, this is a great value. The game + 2 dance pads is prefect to get a feel for these games. I would recommend controller extension cables if your PS2 is not located close to the floor, though. The cords on the dance pads are not very long.
