 If you loved FFX, avoid this game. Feb 15, 2010
This game is as radical a departure from its predecessor as you could imagine. Gone are the deep characters, moving plot, beautiful music, and strategic gameplay from FFX. In their place we find shallow parodies of the original characters, a disjointed, silly plot, a soundtrack full of god-awful J-pop, and frenetic button mashing.
This game seems to be aimed squarely at the 12-16 year old girl demographic. There's a heavy "girl power" vibe in this game, but apparently "girl power" means running around in next to no clothing, spouting cutesy phrases, hi-fiving a lot, and just generally being an airhead. Think "Charlie's Angels meet The Spice Girls" and you'll have the right idea. Make no mistake, if you're a feminist and are considering this game because of the all-female protagonists, you WILL be offended.
FFX was very somber and tragic in its tone; this game is the complete opposite. In fact, FFX-2 seems determined to desecrate everything it can about FFX. If you enjoyed the gameplay of FFX and were truly moved by its tragic story, you would be better off forgetting FFX-2 even exists. I truly regret ever playing this game.
The GAYEST Final Fantasy Game Feb 13, 2010
So Final Fantasy X was the game that got me hooked on the Final Fantasy series, although, to be honest, um... it was hard. It took me a period of several years to beat it... In that "time-frame" of three years, I went into a Family Video, and, oh my god, was I shocked to find out that there was a SEQUEL to Final Fantasy X!! So I kind of cheated and I started on Final Fantasy X-2 before I finished Final Fantasy X, which I IMMENSELY REGRET!!! "X-2" borderlines being a retread of "X" (although it is ultimately a completely new adventure); "X-2" revealed a lot of things about "X" that, um, I hadn't learned yet in "X"... So make sure you play X first! (or at least I would, I don't know 'boutchu...)
So, I'm going to be brutally honest: "X-2" is the GAYEST "Final Fantasy" YET... It is SOOOO different from X in that, X took itself seriously, trying to make a beautiful, epic gaming experience; on the other end of the spectra is "X-2," which really is just a fun, "don't-take-this-too-seriously" game. It is so CAMPY, right?!?! You can play DRESS-UP with Yuna and her gal-pals with their different dresspheres (character classes), Yuna is a POP-STAR in X-2 and puts a sort of "Live Aid" experience for WORLD PEACE... and, to top it off, there are so many seemingly GAY characters, from Riku's flamboyant brother, named, um, Brother...(...)... To pretty boy New Yevon leader Baralai... This game, to sum it up, is one of those "it's so bad, it's good" experiences... It's freakin' hilarious, and yet so touching, so consuming... I could play this game over and over and over again... Not to mention that, despite some negative comments I've read, the music is, yes, different from all other Final Fantasy games, but, you know what..... I kind of like it... It goes along with the "campy" theme of the game. And Yuna's "smash pop" single, "A Thousand Words," that she performs in the game, is possibly the best "Final Fantasy" theme-song yet!! The girls in the game fight over boys, play, and have so much personality... While I don't think this game belongs in the "Final Fantasy" series, that doesn't take anything away from the game as a whole. It is a life-changing experience - not so much for the serious gamers out there, but for those that just want to have fun...
 Final Fantasy X Meets Kingdom Hearts Feb 09, 2010
If you are looking for a game that has the exact same feel as Final Fantasy X, than Final Fantasy X-2 is not the game for you. In fact, this game is very little in feel to it's predecessor. Yes, Spira has basically been copied directly from Final Fantasy X with a few additions, but other than that this game feels completely different. The gameplay is much faster and flashier, the story isn't a simple Sin come back story, and the feel of the game is much more light hearted. I would compare the tone to Kingdom Hearts rather than to it's gloomy predecessor. I did love Final Fantasy X, but it was a very serious dramatic game. Final Fantasy X-2 has a more playful tone, while still keeping a serious story line (hince my comparison to Kingdom Hearts). If you want to see for yourself, watch the intro video to Final Fantasy X and then X-2 (you can probably find them both on youtube). Pretty much, if you liked Final Fantasy X, and don't mind a more upbeat game, than Final Fantasy X-2 is the game for you. It's fun, interesting, has a good story, and will quench the thirst you have for the best RPG franchise of all time.

I'm never Disappointed when it comes to the Final Fantasy rpgs.Game play and graphics are awesome.I also received this game very quickly which was nice.

THe battle is awesome and everything. Takes time to get use to. But overall. Its crap. I love final fantasy but this one is one they should have just not sold. Not worth the cash. Stick with FF 11
