If Your A Soccer Fan, Buy It! Oct 20, 2008
By E. Aguilar
"LA Gamer"
Graphically, the game is very similar to last year's FIFA Soccer 08. That being said, subtle yet great improvements have been made in the area of gameplay. A few examples include: 1) Where as before you could take the ball across the entire field with maybe two or three passes at most and score, the "AI" is much better at defending. It now requires much more creativity on your part to score, 2) a player will now tire out and slowdown during matches impacting his in-game performance, 3) the game now takes into account an individual player's physical attributes into consideration during tackles. In summary, graphically the same is similar to last-year,s', most of the subtle yet great improvements were made in the area of gameplay. If your a soccer fan, get the game, it's alot of fun.

decent game, but too redundant Mar 31, 2009

"beachboy"
The control has been improved from 08 and it's more realistic and "freer"(the player behave more realistically rather than just a bunch of robots). But there are too many elements in the game that are redundant from 08. The entire manager mode is identical to 08's, they didn't even change the face icon of the managers in which you can select. The tournament mode is of course also the same. There's this new Be a Pro feature of the game, which I didn't enjoy at all. You will get to control only ONE player on your team, and the rest are controlled by the CPU, which can be frustrating when you know you can do much better. Basically, EA is selling us a product that's not much different from last year's. I would say this time the improvement isn't as great as the one from 07 to 08.

A must have for any soccer fan with a psp. Jan 26, 2009
By Chris S. Awesome soccer game. I have been a FIFA fan since I was a kid. This is my favorite game for the psp. I have been kept busy for hours upon hours with the manager mode alone. My only complaint on the game is the game controls. It just took some time to get used to, because I also have FIFA 09 for PS3 and you can never get the controls set exactly like the format for the PS3. It's a little annoying when you forget, and go for a shot only to find you crossed the ball out of bounds. Besides that, the game play is incredible. A must have for any soccer fan with a psp.

Fifa vs PSE Jan 08, 2009
By T. Le On the psp, fifa soccer has everything go smoothly ( players' movements, the pace of the players is fast) and has a lot of features like challenges, seasons, manager,.... Its sure a good game. For PES ( pro evolution soccer by Konami), the movements of the players are quite slower than fifa, not many features, sometimes it gets slow significantly for 5-10 seconds. Konami still has a lot of works to do with the umd. However, when I play PES, i still feel more real. My advice, once you played winning eleven or PES by konami (like myself), you should think carefully when buying fifa, it might get on your nerve (fifa sometimes has things go on so unreal, usually by the AI's side, and TACKLE in fifa is so sucked, they get the ball all the time by tackle, LOLZ ).

Greatest portable game I own Nov 16, 2008

"Serving the USAF"
Im in the US Air Force here at Keesler, and this game is getting me through my day. The mananger mode is just like the console versions, and Be a Pro is also very fun. Take it from an airman, this game is well worth the buy if your on the go and like soccer.
