 My 2 year old loves it! Dec 02, 2009
My son started playing this when he was 2 1/2. He has mastered the controls very quickly. I like the fact that the "action button" or "X" button does everything, so he doesn't get confused. And there's no way for him to die. The basic premise of the game is that Dora is on earth when a spaceship lands and some aliens come out and say they need to get back to their planet but their ship is broken. Dora agrees to help them. She finds Isa and her rocket and Dora & Boots embark on a space trip through 4 planets. My son has won the game serveral times, but he continues to want to play it! Dora and Boots are the stars but Map is around, as is Backpack. At various times, just like in the tv show, my son will need to select items from backpack to solve problems. It's great! I wish they made more games like this. There's no violence, no way for the characters to get hurt or die, and it helps learn problem-solving, direction, and more. Highly recommended!
 Disc read errors but fun Sep 08, 2009
It may of been my copy of the game but I had problems getting the game to work in my playstation 2. I had an older version of the playstation 2 and it wouldn't recognize the disc at all. The newer smaller version of the playstation 2 it would only read about 1/3 of the time. Other wise it would say disc read error. I bought this game new so I don't understand. It's annoying. Other then that when it works my son LOVES IT! He is 3 1/2 and its the coolest thing ever.

 Doesn't Play on PS2, just my PS3 Jul 03, 2009
This game only plays on my PS3 even though it is a PS2 Game!!! I tired contacting seller and they won't respond. I suggest statying away from seller (Coleman Biblio)and game!!!! I own two other Dora games that work great!! Better grapihcs game play, and they work on my PS2!!! Bad BUY!!!!!
You'd think a TV show with a cursor built-in could be transported to a better game Dec 12, 2008
My 5 year old daughter gets bored with the lengthy wandering from one place to the next. The challenges are very short and limited. Why can't they just take a few TV episodes and put the player in control?

Great Game For Little Kids Nov 14, 2008
If your child loves Dora and is 3 or 4 years old this game is awesome. To start the controls are super simple. Little kids will be able to pick this game up very easily and have fun right away.
What's nice and refreshing about this game is it is safe for young kids. As you progress through the game Dora has to complete certain task to move on. Dora never dies or gets hurt so your young one wont get frustraighted like they might with other games. This game has the child in mind 100%.
The only bad things about this game are the levels are repetitive. That's not too bad for a 3 or 4 year old though. The graphics are not the best as well, but then again Dora is a cartoon and this game is cartoony.
If you are looking for a fun and safe game for your little one, definatly look at this one.
