This game has some of the greatest graphics for PS2 Dec 09, 2005

This is an overall great game, those reviews about it being easy and simple to complete are true, only if you are playing in Real Easy mode..step it up to the hardest level and witness
the true playback of experienced gamer.
If you like 50 & G-Unit; it's all here, everything from music, videos, ads, violence, bling, bullet-time reaction, excellent graphics and my personal favorite the tunnel vision shot!
You will have play the game to know what I'm talking about though.
I highly recommend this game for all serious G-Unit fans!
5 reasons for buying this game
* You can play as Dr. Dre and Eminem as characters in the game
* 9 new songs including about 4 cd's worth of other G-Unit music
* Music videos for alot of the songs (unedited)
* Tons of different finishing moves
* Hot chicks & excellent graphics

Terrible in every way! Jan 05, 2006
By Inspector Gadget
"Go Go Gadget Reviews"
This is pretty much the worst and most over-hyped game of 2005 and made a lot of 'bottom 10' lists in many magazines last month. And it bloody deserves it.
The problems with this game begin before you even lift it off the shelf in the store. I mean take a look at the cover. It's 50 Cent, one of the few African American 'role models' around these days, in a defencive pose with a stereotypical 'angry black guy' look on his face (oh, please don't hurt me Mr. Cent!).
Now I am not a fuddy-duddy conservative who blames people like Marilyn Manson for corrupting kids or whatever because I know kids are more intelligent than adults give them credit for. But America is a very racist country and when 50 Cent misrepresents the Black Community and backs up the xenophobic myth that all Black people are evil or killers or gang-bangers in some way I can't help but get very annoyed.
Second of all is the fact that this drivel game is no more than a laughable male fantasy. Yes, I know Mr. Cent has been shot 9 times but it was all at once with low calibre bullets. It's not as if he goes out and gets shot at every day and is immune to all lead fired in the direction of his person. I know 50 Cent has had a really, REALLY, RE-EALLY tough life, that I would not wish upon anyone. But when violence and death have haunted you your whole life the LAST thing you should do is capitalise on a game that glorifies gun-play and gang warfare. That's just disgusting and perverse and if Mr. Cent truly 'kept it real' (what a ridiculous, meaningless phrase) he would treat his demons with respect. Using music as a way of working through them is fine but starring in a video game where the main enjoyment comes from blowing people away certainly is NOT. As I have said, there are few African American role models and he should set an example to those following behind him. While his innovative music may have made him a huge success this game smashes any credibility I feel he may have had.
Third? Well the story to the game is childish and stupid anyway. It's not even entertaining accidentally as it's just way too dull.
And fourth? Well don't get me started on the horrible targeting system and awful controls. It'll make you want to smash your control pad into your TV screen. What a horribly cheaply programmed game!
Fifth? Well, that would have to be the bland, graphics and tedious environments. It all adds up to a pretty (read VERY) unsatisfying experience. Mere days after being released most stores had zillions of copies traded in as those foolish enough to buy it blind quickly discovered what a rotten game it is as well as a hideously over-indulgent and grossly misjudged vanity piece. BEWARE!!!

Bulletproof is full of holes. LAFF LAFF I IS BE FUNNY Nov 30, 2005 50 Cent's video game is finally here. Does it live up to its high expectations? It depends.
If you are a hardcore fan of 50 Cent, go out and buy this game, immediately. You'll absolutely fall in love with the game's huge 50 Cent soundtrack. In addition, playing as 50 Cent with lots of cool slow motion action movie abilities will make you wet your pants as well.
If you're anyone else, there's not much Bulletproof has to offer. Other than the soundtrack, Bulletproof is pretty much a generic action game that offers nothing new. Sure there's bullet time and disarms and some other stuff, however those have been done many times before. The only somewhat unique thing about the gameplay is the ability to use cover. 50 Cent is actually not bulletproof (OSNAP), and you'll have to grab stuff like dumpsters with wheels to hide behind them like a moron while heavily armed machine gun thugs are pwning the crap out of you.
The weapon sounds and explosions are pretty powerful, and the voice acting is good. Nothing truly stands out, though. It's just like an action movie. Lots of swearing. If you're not into gangster stuff, you'll be severly turned off by the game.
I never cared for the story, but no one buys a game like this for the story anyway. It takes place in the area where 50 Cent grew up (Queens, NY), and he's trying to find out who gunned down his friend and stuff. Lots of revenge. The game is around ten hours long, at the most. The story has no twists or unexpected moments that stand out. Like I said, it's just like an action movie.
Overall, Bulletproof will surely appeal to hardcore 50 Cent fans, however other than that, this game has just about nothing to offer to the average casual gamer. In the end, there's no reason to spend $50 on this. There are far better games out there, such as the Grand Theft Auto and Max Payne games. Check it out and see if you like it, but I was disappointed.

A Good Idea That Fell Short Jan 25, 2006
By Dorrie Wheeler 50 Cent Bulletproof could have been one of the most innovative and exciting urban action video games of all time. It's clear that a lot of time and effort went into the creative edge of the video game. Sadly though, the game falls short when it comes to the actual game play.
The premise of 50 Cent Bulletproof is rather simple. You star in the game as 50 Cent. Along with fellow G-Unit members Lloyd Banks, Young Buck and Tony Yayo you run the streets basically. From the very first mission it's clear that the game doesn't measure up. When the game begins you as 50 Cent are in a warehouse. You and the G-Unit are being ambushed. You have to shoot the enemies while Lloyd Banks picks the lock to exit the area. First off, the targeting is very frustrating. Second of all, with the G-Unit members frantically running around sometimes it's hard to tell who is a good guy and who is an enemy. Another strange thing, if you shoot any of the G-Unit members they do not die or get injured.
There are a lot of neat things about the game. You can choose your difficulty level when you begin game play. You can also access a media center where you can view 50 Cent videos and listen to 50 Cent music. As you advance in game play more multimedia is unlocked. This is a really great feature and brings a real unique flavor to the game. The game includes 4 CD's worth of new music and remixes from 50 Cent and over a dozen video games. In addition to the voice work lent by 50 Cent and the G-Unit, Eminem, Dr. Dre and DJ Whoo Kid can also be heard in the game.
One thing about the game that makes it a bit boring is you can't drive in the game. According to the booklet that came with the game, "Since no one drives in New York and cabbies stay outta this hood, 50 gets around using the subways." This was the deal sealer for me that made me know I wouldn't be playing the game very long. It would have been so cool to drive around New York as 50 Cent and listen to his music. The fact that driving is not an option in the game makes this gamer think they were just rushing to get this game out because every 50 Cent/G-Unit fan knows they are about the flashy cars.
50 Cent Bulletproof was created by Vivendi Universal. I previously reviewed their 2005 releases Cold Winter and Red Ninja. They need to hire some better game developers. The games they create have good premises but the actual game play can be so frustrating that game players get frustrated.
The bottom line is that 50 Cent Bulletproof was a really idea that just doesn't work because of the overall poor game play controls. The character is clunky, the shooting is not very good, and the game map seems small. The game was a really good idea, but it doesn't work. Perhaps if Rockstar Games or Activision completed the actual game design the finished product would have turned out better.
